Justice for Human Rights foundation-JHR has received a distress call from the transferred detainees from Borg Al-Arab prison to Wadi El-Gedeed prison, as the prison administration haven’t put them in the prison wards, yet, although they were transferred one month ago and now they’re still in the reception ward. Also, the detainees suffer from other various violations such as; minimising the amount of food, preventing a lot of them from the visit, insulting their families during the visit, taking away all of their belongings, and preventing them from medicines or being examined by a competent physician.
JHR condemns the flagrant violations committed against the detainees inside Wadi El-Gedeed prison, calls for stopping them immediately and hold those responsible accountability, and also affirms that the Egyptian authorities and the prison administration are fully responsible for these violations.
