‘Mohamed Abdullah’ detainee in Asuit prison, passed away due to medical negligence

Justice for Human Rights foundation-JHR has monitored the death of ‘Mohamed Abdullah’, the detainee in Asuit prison, on Monday 29th April, 2019, yesterday, as a result of the medical negligence and poor health care provided by the prison’s administration. The adminstration also refused to allow him to be provided with the adequate medical care, as he was suffering from liver cirrhosis and ascites.
JHR condemns the deliberate murder by severe medical negligence against detainees, and also calls on the public prosecutor and the concerned bodies to open an urgent investigation into the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
