Death of ‘Alaa Eddin Sa’d’ in Borg El-Arab prison, of medical negligence

Justice for Human Rights foundation-JHR has monitored the death of detainee ‘Alaa Eddin Sa’d’, due to medical negligence and severe cold after the administration of Borg El-Arab prison ignored the requests of allowing citizens to have extra clothes and blankets that are adequate for the hypothermia inside the inhumane cells that wasted the lives of hundreds of detainees.

JHR condemns the murder due to medical negligence, and calls on the Public Prosecution to open an urgent investigation into the incident and hold those responsible accountable. The Foundation also holds the Egyptian authorities fully responsible for the lives of thousands of detainees in their prisons and detention places.
