The Cairo Criminal Court decided to refer the papers of 3 citizens to the mufti in the case of the assassination of the former security director of Alexandria. The court also set the next March 31st session to pronounce the judgment in the case in which 11 citizens are accused.
Justice for Human Rights foundation-JHR condemns the judgment against citizens, and also calls for the abolition of the death penalty in Egypt, and the retrial of citizens but with standards and guarantees of the fair and impartial trial.
