JHR has reported the death of detainee ‘Mahmoud El-Sayed Metwalli’, 50 years old, after being transferred from the lockout of Zaqaziq police station ‘first’ to the Seidnawy hospital. Although he was a cancer patient, he was arrested 7 months ago.
JHR condemns the deliberate medical negligence inside the Egyptian prisons and lockouts, and also calls for an urgent investigation into that crime and hold those responsible accountability.
