Six citizens sentenced to death in “Popular Resistance Committees in Kerdasa’ case

The 15th Chamber (one of the Terrorist Chambers), at the Giza Criminal Court, held at the Police Academy, headed by Chancellor Shaaban al-Shami, issued a sentence to hang six citizens in the case known as the Popular Resistance Committees in Kerdasa, as the court accused them of killing three people and possessing firearms.

JHR condemns the death sentences against citizens and calls for a moratorium on the death penalty in Egypt and the Middle East, as the governments of those countries have expanded in using this penalty to physically eliminate the political opponents.
