On Monday 17th June 2019, the Egyptian authorities announced the death of Dr. Mohamed Morsi during the hearing of the case of ‘Communication with Hamas’, as he fainted after the judge allowed h to speak about the medical negligence he was subject to.
Justice for Human Rights foundation-JHR reiterates its rejection of the violations practiced against Dr. Mohamed Morsi’ during his detention for about 6 years. JHR also condemns the authorities’ intransigence in providing him the medicine and the adequate medical care, and preventing him from the visit of his family and lawyers, and calls for an investigation through these violations and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
