Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman El-Morsi, 65 year old, a cardiovascular specialist, a prisoner at the intensive security prison ” Tura “, Egyp is suffering from deliberate medical negligence since the end of February 2018, and needs immediate medical care and must be transferred to a specialised hospital.
The prison’s authorities refuse to transfer him to the hospital or even allow him to take his medication.
The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights Article 10 states that ” All persons deprived of their liberty shall be treated with humanity and with respect for the inherent dignity of the human person.” this serious medical negligence conflicts with the rights of prisoners provided in the Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners adopted by the Economic and Social Council of the UN Which was ratified by the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Please write immediately in Arabic, English or your own language demanding the Egyptian authorities to:
- -Enable Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman El-Morsi to be examined by a specialised doctor and transfer him urgently to a hospital for treatment.
- -To stop ungently the deliberate negligence against him and provide him with the urgent medical and health care.
- To detain him in a healthy place to safe his life.
